The Chronicles of Captain Shelly Manhar
The youngest of three siblings, nineteen years old Shelly Manhar is hot-tempered, indecisive and impatient. When, as a child, she loses her family soon after her home burns down, she decides to take the only path available: join the swashbucklers who rule the high seas with gunpowder, blade, cannon and fear.
Shelly embarks on her quest with a crew she pressed into servitude with her sword and stubbornness. Blocking her path to revenge is her traitor brother, a navy officer who betrayed their family, and is now working for Doomham, the very man responsible for the disappearance of her parents. When it seems that her life could not get any more complicated, Shelly stumbles upon a dangerous treasure hidden within the depths of the Caribbean Sea. Unfortunately for her, Doomham is also after it, and there is nothing he would not do to reach it.
Revenge, treasure, and family drama are all in a day’s works for this unstoppable pirate captain. In the end she will ultimately have to decide which life she’ll keep in the long run: her old, lawful one, or the new, illegal yet highly addictive one.
